JR's Plumbing & Heating announces the AutopurgerTM, an air eliminating circulator which
allows for hose-less purging of hydronic heating systems. The Autopurgerä enables contractors or homeowners to
easily purge air from heating systems without the use of a hose. This saves
money, time and allows for easy maintenance of heating systems to
contractors. The Autopurger TM is patent pending, and is not yet available. Currently
the company is seeking a manufacturer. Interested parties may call (203)
849-1479.
The Autopurger project is still progressing. The first
patent has issued on October 10, 2000. Click on the patent number 6,129,523 to view
the patent. A second United States
patent 6,431,461 has issued on August 13, 2002. Two Canadian patents are
pending. I received a Grant from the State of Connecticut.
The Grant was awarded because the Autopurger saves Energy. Less air in the
heating system makes the system more efficient.
The prototype shown in this web page is of the first prototype. The
second and third prototypes have some confidential features. The first
prototype was a crude one. A sand casting pattern of the third prototype has
been completed. The third prototype was built and tested. It has been
determined that a modification to the sand casting pattern is needed. A
second casting will have to be made. The second casting will produce
prototype IV. Prototype IV should be ready for testing sometime in the near
future.
Through this site manufacturers will find information
on the AutopurgerTM. Contractors will find
information on how to set up
hoseless purging systems with parts available today. John Ruhnke, owner
of JR's Plumbing & Heating, has articles on hose-less purging in a few
trade journals, namely, Radiant Panel Report and Fuel Oil News. For plumbing
and heating services check out JR's
