Becoming "Business Brilliant"

Abstract:

Becoming "Business Brilliant" Ever since the global economic turmoil of 2008, the factors that set the top 10% apart from the middle-class have become even more pronounced. New research identifies those factors by reverse-engineering the individuals who are thriving in our new economy.

In January of 2009, during the depths of the global economic turmoil, author Lewis Schiff directed a survey of 800 household decision makers. Half (400) of those survey respondents came from high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth households. During extensive interviews, Schiff sought the answer to this question: When the going gets tough, what do "the tough" (self-made Americans) do differently than the rest of us?

Schiff’s new book, Business Brilliant: Surprising Lessons from the Greatest Self-Made Business Icons, reveals the results of his research, including how top business leaders excel in areas of team-building, risk management and decision-making. During Schiff's presentation, you will be challenged to compare your own practices to a benchmark defined by the top 10% of American households. These are the executives and entrepreneurs who have successfully navigated our rapidly changing economy and are positioned to widen their domination in the next economic cycle.

Schiff's 2007 book, The Middle-Class Millionaire: How The New Rich Are Changing America, was a groundbreaking study of the lifestyle habits of the country's new wealthy. In Business Brilliant, Schiff takes that research to the next level with a practical roadmap describing how the wealthy got there.
